At 7:30, I got up and went down to meet a French guy, who I had seen at the station. He turned up late and ordered a cup of coffee before getting into a tuktuk. When he was drinking coffee, a tuktuk driver went into this restaurant and sat on a table.

I decided to go to Khon Kaen where it takes 8 hours from Bangkok toward north by local train. I paid my ticket for 399B and also bought a bottle of water (10B), a snack (10B) and a pan cake (10B). My budget is 15$ (= 500B) a day, so I’ve already been nearly broke.

At 3 am, I finally got to Bangkok, but one of my Thai friends didn’t turn up. I decided to stay over the night in the airport, before going into the city at 7 am by bus. After exchanging 50 US$ for 1600Bahts (1$ = 31B), I took a shuttle bus for 150B, which was a bit expensive for me. In the bus, I saw an Italian man with a big blue backpack. He was going to Pakse in Laos.
