Since 2003, he has been engaged in international development activities by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) among others. His specialization are the Greater Eurasian Continent (majorly Former Soviet Union, Central Asia/Caucasus, Western Balkans) as well as international development policy and practice, UN development system, governance and peacebuilding/conflict prevention. UN Peace and Development Advisor in the Kyrgyz Republic (2017-2019), Deputy Director for Central Asia and the Caucasus Division, JICA Headquarters (2016), Partnerships Advisor at UNDP Headquarters (2012-2016), Deputy Chief Representative of JICA Uzbekistan Office (2009-2012) among others.
