Dr. Stephen Devereux presented “Food security and social protection: Two sides of the same coin?” The seminar was held by United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD) last year but still provides some key ideas for social protection policies particularly in Africa. The presentation itself is based on a report “Social Protection for Food Security”, commissioned by the FAO’s Committee on World Food Security.
